# Your bot's settings

> What you can set for your community, and how pausing works.

The Lance team sets these for you. Message us with what you want changed, and it applies to your members' next message.

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Name** | Your bot's name in Telegram. Changing it renames the bot. |
| **Welcome line** | The first thing members read when they start the bot. |
| **Markets** | Which crypto perps your members can trade, and which show first. |
| **Leverage cap** | The highest leverage members can pick. |
| **Starting leverage** | The leverage picked first for new members. |
| **Largest order** | The biggest single order a member can place. |
| **Quick amounts** | The one-tap amounts on each market's card. |
| **Price limit (slippage)** | How far from the current price a market order may fill. It also decides when Long or Short is switched off for a thin order book. |
| **Owners** | Who sees your stats. We send each new owner a one-time invite link. |

The same rules apply in Telegram and in Lance Trade.

## Pausing your bot

We can pause your bot at your request. While it's paused:

* the bot still answers and tells members it's paused;
* members can't open new trades;
* it sends no alerts;
* members' resting orders, take profits and stop losses stay on Hyperliquid and can still fill;
* members can cancel orders and take profits and stop losses in Lance Trade, and sign browsers out.

Members can always manage their positions directly on Hyperliquid with their wallet.
